Vrouwen op een voetstuk plaatsen, dat doet jong-dameskoor Arion uit Leuven in haar tweede deelname aan Amateurama. De groep van een twintigtal dames brengt liederen geschreven door of over vrouwen. Van Ave Maria over volksliederen tot Abba en The Beatles. Ze doen dat onder leiding van dirigent Koen Vits en begeleid door pianist Pieter Akkermans.
De muziek wordt versterkt door kunstwerken van de cursisten van Kalligrafie ’t Veertje uit Kessel-Lo. Zij maakten op basis van de songteksten verschillende kunstwerken.
De tentoonstelling van Kalligrafie 't Veertje is ook te bezichtigen in de namiddag van 14.00h tot 18.00h. Hiervoor wordt geen inkom gevraagd, maar een vrije bijdrage is wel welkom.
